TERA Online Aman Guide
The Amans are a large, hoofed, horned monstrous race. They have huge horns and muscles if male and slightly smaller horns if female, but even then they’re still incredibly muscular.
Aman were born and bred as warriors by The Giants, after escaping their lives of slavery and learning how to work with other races they began to cherish freedom and unity, and would probably die for their ideals if need be.
The Amans are a very honourable and loyal race; despite this they are still instinctively weary of the Baraka, who are the descendants of the Giants.
Racial Skills:
Prospector: Increase gathering speed of ores. (Passive)
This one seems to be a little minor, and it’s a type of racial skill that all races share; the ability to gather something or make something quicker than the others. With the Amans it’s the ability to collect ores faster; I could see selling ores being a good way of making money if you are playing an Aman.
No Stranger to Pain: decrease damage taken by 10% when HP is below 30% (Passive)
A nice skill if you want to be a Tank as an Aman, it decreases the damage you take from all attacks by 10% when you’re low on HP, this could give your healer a chance to get their MP back up or allow their skills to cool down in a pinch.
Blood of Dragons: Increase resistance to Damage over Time (D.O.T) by 10 (Passive)
Damage over Time attacks can be a very deadly asset to any class; it becomes even more frightening when it’s turned on you! A natural resistance to Damage over Time attacks is a very nice racial ability for the Aman, and it further reinstates that they’re a hardy bunch.
Last Aman Standing: Your resistance to knockdown and immobility increases for 30 seconds, has an hour long cool down (Active)
This skill has a very limited use and would be much better with an incredibly shorter cool down, a skill that gives a 30 second buff and takes an hour to cool down? That isn’t going to help anyone all that much. While its use is very limited it could be used if you’re about to be hit with a huge attack that you somehow can’t dodge or defend against and you absolutely cannot get knocked down, other than that there isn’t much use.
Kaiator’s Drums: Allows an Aman to teleport back to their home capital, Kaiator.
Another skill that all races share, when they reach a certain level they can teleport to their home city.
Recommended Class Combos:
The Amans are obviously incredibly compatible with the Lancer class, which is the tank of Tera online. Their large size means that they’re definitely going to be easier targets for enemy attacks, so why not soak the damage up with an equally large shield? They would also fair well as Berserkers, who opt to defend with their large axes rather than evading like a Warrior so that would fit a hardy race like the Aman very well.
The Aman are definitely incompatible with the magical classes; none of their racial abilities support it in the slightest. The best choice is definitely a Lancer or a Berserker if you want to deal a little more damage while still soaking it up. If you insist on playing one of the more agile races I would suggest opting to play a Female Aman; they’re considerably smaller than the males which would make it easier for you dodge incoming attacks; the natural resistances of the Aman would also mean you would take less damage than other DPS class/race combos.
Despite this I would still insist staying away from a magic class as an Aman, there are much better races to combo with the spell slingers.
To Summarize
Large with natural resistances, best suited as a tanking class. If you insist on playing as a Warrior/Archer etc as an Aman you should definitely consider playing a female over a male. If you’re the type of person that likes to look good then the Aman race definitely isn’t for you, but if you just happen to want to play a tank and believe in function over form then the Aman are probably the best choice available.
